Frequently Asked Questions

Please see below the answers for frequently asked questions about our Bizgad UV Sterilizers.

Of course, we also welcome to contact us regarding these, and any other questions you may have.

How does the UV light Sanitizer work?

UV-C Light kills up to 99.9% of bacteria and viruses using powerful UV-C LED light. UV-C, a short wavelength light invisible to the human eye, kills these germs by disrupting their DNA so they can’t function or reproduce. The UV-C sanitizer maximizes sanitization effectiveness between light dispersion angle and UV-C intensity to ensure optimal ultraviolet light exposure across your devices.

Can I put UV Sterilizer in my home?

Yes – ultraviolet has been safely used in homes, as well as in hospitals, laboratories, clean rooms, doctors″ offices, commercial buildings, food processing plants and other commercial and residential environments throughout the world.

For safety, you need to avoid opening the box when the light is on as it can damage your eyes when looking at the light directly when the box is open.

Do germicidal UV-C light kill viruses?

UVC at the wavelength, 254 nanometers, has been successfully used to inactivate H1N1 influenza and other coronaviruses, such as a severe acute respiratory virus (SARS-CoV) and Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV). A study published 26 June 2020 awaiting peer review now confirms that UV-C also eliminates SARS-CoV-2.

UVC-254 works because this wavelength causes lesions in DNA and RNA. Enough exposure to UVC-254 damages the DNA and RNA so that they can’t replicate, effectively killing or inactivating a microorganism or virus.

The data that backs up this technology, the ease of use, and the non-contact nature of UVC make it a valuable tool amid the pandemic. But responsible, accurate use is critical. UVC’s DNA-damaging capabilities can be dangerous to human skin and eyes. Always make sure to only have the light on when the Sterilizer is closed and not opened.

What items can I sanitize in my Bizgad Sterilizer ?

Anything that fits inside your Bizgad Sterilizer can be sanitized. In addition to most smartphones, the Bizgad large capacity Sanitizer is designed to sanitize other items, like keys, jewelry, eyeglasses, TV remotes, and earbuds, to name a few. Use extra care to ensure proper positioning as only areas exposed to UV-C light will be sanitized; items touching or overlapping may not receive optimal UV-C light exposure.

Is Bizgad Sterilizer safe for my phone?

Yes, Bizgad Sterilizer uses UV-C LED light, not water or chemicals. Environmentally friendly, UV-C LED light kills bacteria and viruses and is completely safe for your phone. The Bizgad design ensures no UV-C LED light can escape but for safety do not place any live objects in the device or leave the phone for longer than 20min when the light is on.
